Your All-Inclusive Fly Fishing Weekend in The Catskills

Three-bedroom house in a quiet valley of West Kill, New York. Just down the road from the old Art Flick home. Beautiful views… steeped in history.

✺ GUIDED FLY FISHING
Four half-day guided trips on the fabled waters of Esopus Creek. Three one-on-one excursions with each angler, plus a group trip on Sunday morning after breakfast.

✺ FOOD & BEVERAGE
Dinner on Friday through breakfast on Sunday morning. Five meals. All food and non-alcoholic beverages are provided.

If you’re new to fly fishing, there’s a lot you’ll need to get in the water. Rod, reel, waders, boots, flies, and accessories - All included.

Todd Spire is a published songwriter who’s been writing songs for over forty years. If you want some live music ‘round the campfire, say the word. (Quiet is fine too).

Host - Todd Spire
Todd has been fishing the waters of The Catskills for nearly twenty years. 2025 will be his 9th season as a guide. He expounds and educates through appearances, articles, and a podcast devoted to telling watershed stories around the Hudson Valley. He has worked at The Catskill Fly Fishing Museum and strives to build community through watershed conservation and fly fishing.
The Location
A 3 bedroom, 3 bed, 1 bath house on West Kill Creek in West Kill, New York with stunning views. Gourmet kitchen, sit down shower, dogs welcome, and all the comforts. House accommodates 6. Camping in the yard is also welcome.
Note - Host will be staying in a seperate structure on property across the street.
Food
We’ll do as much cooking over the fire as possible. Traditional BBQ, open pit fire, and a gourmet kitchen all on property. Light dinner on Friday, maybe wood-fired pizza in our terracotta fish oven. Continental breakfast on Saturday morning as we’ll be on the water by sun up. Lunch streamside or at West Kill Brewing. Local trout for dinner on Saturday. Full breakfast on Sunday morning before our group trip.

Non-fishing guests can be added for an additional $200 fee.

All experience levels are welcome. If you’ve never fly fished before, the beginning of your private time will include a casting lesson.

Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks.

A New York State Fishing License is the only item you’ll need that is not provided with your stay. Day licenses are only $5 for NY state residents.

Your trip will likely happen on Esopus or Schoharie Creek due to their proximity to the house. Other locations may be considered due to river conditions or requests from guests.

All trips will be exclusively catch and release regardless of species or wildness. Unless otherwise requested, dinner on Saturday will be trout sourced from local hatcheries.
